Yoju Matsubayashi

Yojyu Matsubayashi (born 1978, Japan) directed his first documentary FOR THOSE WHO WORK in 2002, exploring the labour movement at the Miike coalmines. His acclaimed film FLOWER AND TROOPS (2009) received the Yamaji Fumiko Film Prize and the Tahara Soichiro Non-fiction Prize. FUKUSHIMA: MEMORIES OF THE LOST LANDSCAPE (2011), his first feature documentary, was invited to the Hong Kong International Film Festival.
