Asghar Farhadi

Asghar Farhadi's (born 1972, Iran) first feature DANCING IN THE DUST (2003) won awards at the Fajr and Moscow film festivals. His 2009 film ABOUT ELLY (Silver Bear for Best Director at Berlin; Best Film at Tribeca) was Iran’s official submission for the Academy Awards. However, it was A SEPARATION (2011) that won over 70 awards internationally, including the Academy Award, Golden Globe and the César for best foreign film.
