Synopsis

This lighthearted, romantic Hollywood comedy stars DIFF 2004 guest Orlando Bloom as Drew Baylor, a running shoe inventor fired by his boss (Alec Baldwin) when his latest footwear design loses the company a fortune. What is a boy to do but try to commit suicide? But then Drew hears of his father's death and takes off to Elizabethtown, Kentucky. En route he meets and falls for air hostess Claire (Kirsten Dunst), then arrives into the bosom of his long-lost extended family, and any continuing notions of suicide soon evaporate.
