Quite possibly one of the finest ninja movies ever made, 'Kamui' is a masterpiece of the genre. The eponymous hero leaves his home, family and old life behind when he becomes a ninja. However, the heavily-ordered and strict existence soon rankles, and Kamui breaks for freedom, escaping to the ocean. There, exhausted and near-death, his life is saved by a fisherman who takes him into his home. The action, rich narrative thread, spectacular stunts and profound story all coalesce into a visually stunning and engrossing tale that will quicken the pulse of any martial arts aficionado
