Synopsis

Honour killings are a common event and a taboo subject. If an Arab woman chooses a romantic relationship or is suspected of having had an intimate relationship with someone outside of marriage, she is considered to have brought dishonour on her entire family - only rectified by the death of the woman, and usually a male or female relative is the killer, without any legal consequences. Honour is seen as much more valuable than the love that one may have for one's family. The film explores this unspoken phenomenon, which is on the increase, as women from various ages, economic status, and religious backgrounds suffer from it.
