Based on an original story by Mamoru Hosoda, WOLF CHILDREN is about a young woman Hana, who falls in love with a "wolf-man” and has two children – Yuki, a girl and Ame, a boy. Her children harbour a big secret — for they too are "wolf children". To hide their secret, the family lives in a quiet corner of the city. Their simple life is filled with joy until the father passes away. Hana, Yuki, and Ame are left alone and Hana decides to move from the crowded city to a small town in the countryside, where Yuki and Ame will have to choose their future: to live as a human or a wolf.
