QUARTET
Cinema of the World
Synopsis
If opera singers in a retirement home don’t sound like entertainment, you would be wrong. There is humour and heartache in equal measure and the joy of watching great actors having fun on screen in this adaptation of Ronald Harwood’s eponymous play. Reginald, Wilfred and Cecily are in for a shock when a new arrival turns out to be their former singing partner, Jean Horton who split up their long friendship and ended her marriage to Reggie. Can time heal old wounds? And will the famous quartet patch up their differences in time for Beecham House's gala concert?
