THE ATTACK
Arabian Nights
Synopsis
Ziad Doueiri, director of WEST BEIRUT and producers Jean Bréhat and Rachid Bouchareb (director of DAYS OF GLORY, amongst many other films), return with this dramatic, controversial adaptation of Algerian writer Yasmina Khadra’s acclaimed novel. THE ATTACK centres around a sheltered, feted Palestinian surgeon working in Israel (played with brilliant maturity by Ali Suliman), and the complex fall-out from a suicide bomb attack – which leads him to question and reconsider his identity, family, his life, amid acute grief and confusion.
