Synopsis
Set on Kashmir’s beautiful Dal Lake, VALLEY OF SAINTS is a tender love story about two best friends and the beautiful woman they both fall in love with. Boatman Gulzar and his childhood friend Afzal are determined to escape the violence of the region. The arrival of Asifa, a researcher investigating the water quality of the lake, brings both joy and confusion into the best friends’ lives. Lush cinematography heightens the region’s visual splendour in this feature debut from Musa Syeed. VALLEY OF SAINTS is a vibrant, lyrical exploration about finding one's path home in a changing world.
