Synopsis

The eternal battle between words and pictures is visited in this film, set in a New England prep school. Jack Marcus (Clive Owen) is a lauded poet, whose talent might be drying up. When Dina Delasanto (Juliette Binoche), a celebrated artist, arrives at the school, Marcus triggers a friendly war between his English literature students and Delasanto's art class. Marcus and Delasanto, though famous in their own worlds, are resigned to teaching in the prep school due to personal reasons. As the 'war' gains traction in this light-hearted romance, they find in each other inspiration, a friend, and, perhaps even, a partner.
