In New York, Lola (Laura Ramsey), 25, dreams of becoming a dancer but is stuck in a boring job. Then she falls in love with an Egyptian, Zack (Assaad Bouab). When he suddenly flies home, Lola follows him to Cairo. But they argue and she is left stranded. She seeks out Ismahane (Carmen Lebbos), the famous dancer her best friend Yussef has told her about. Lola persuades the reclusive Ismahane to tutor her. She blossoms as a dancer and Ismahane rediscovers self-esteem. But Lola’s burgeoning stardom strains their friendship. Nabil Ayouch, who delighted us with Ali Zawaya, returns with a sentimental, East-meets-West comedy.
