Filmmart

As part of its mandate of pioneering cinema initiatives in the region, Dubai International Film Festival (“DIFF”) is the first film festival in the Middle East to introduce a state of the art platform for the trade and distribution of films. The Dubai Filmmart was established during the fifth edition of the festival in 2008.

The Dubai Filmmart’s main aim is to bring industry people from all backgrounds & origins together to trade and distribute film content from the 4 corners of the globe. With a commitment to raising the visibility of World Cinema – particularly Arab, Asian and African – the Dubai Filmmart also seeks to encourage the acquisition and distribution of films that are showcased at DIFF.

The Cinetech is a digital video library of more than 200 films, with facilities to screen films, leave comments for sales agents and request DVD screeners. It is designed to assist buyers, distributors and broadcasters in the screening process while allowing them to maximize their time.

The Dubai Filmmart also encourages trade and distribution between industry professionals by setting up one to one meetings between potential buyers and sellers.
