Synopsis
Acclaimed filmmaker and founder/director of the OpenBethlehem NGO, Leila Sansour returned to her hometown of Bethlehem to make a film about the wall. This intense, yet whimsical documentary is the result. Shot over five years as she battled with local bureaucracy and documented the effect of the Israeli-imposed barrier upon the local population, the various physical and psychological effects of the wall become apparent in dynamic detail. Ultimately, this moving and insightful documentary emerges as a lovingly-crafted paean to Sansour's hometown and all that it represents.
