Synopsis

<I>After 14 years Laila returns home and attempts to pick up her former life. Returning to Amman, disillusioned by life abroad, Laila tries to create a new life. But the simple hometown of her past is now a very different place. Beset by tensions on all sides, the city is facing not only the threat of fundamentalism but also the all-pervading influence of globalisation.</I>
